Tighter Skin

VLum is a relatively new skincare product designed to reduce aging effects with the use of specially selected ingredients. The manufacturer gives very similar claims to other skincare options for women which are widely advertised today. This program promises not just to smoothen your skin but to reduce your fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin at a cellular level. VLum is made in the USA, thus it was advertised on USA Today, Marie Claire, Cosmo, HSN, Bravo, Lifetime, NBC, and the New York Times. The creators of the program claim that their customers enjoy an 84% decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, a 73% decrease in the appearance of dark circles, and 95% visibly tighter skin.

The website for VLum demonstrates no type of actual evidence to support the claims. The manufacturer also indicates that those claims are not backed up by the FDA either. It seems that the makers are not working on approving their product. They also produce RegeneLift. There is also an address to return your products: Fulfillment Center, c/o RegeneLift Returns, PO Box 500, Toronto, ON M3J 0J8.

According to the official website of VLum, the product works on a "cellular level" through deep hydration of the skin. As a result, the skin smoothens and the wrinkles eliminate. This skincare system claims to retain water in the skin with the help of "Biofil Hydrospheres" that plump the skin through the process of expanding. The skincare solution focuses on the decrease of wrinkles without injections. The creators of VLum promise the first visible results in 8 weeks. But some users experience negative skin reactions because of this skincare product.

The home website claims that their product is supported by 9 out of 10 dermatologists, but this fact is not officially proven. The website also claims that the program has been clinically studied, but it turned out that those studies were dedicated to the aging process of the skin, not to the way VLum works. Let us have a look at the main ingredients in the product.

Retinoid is the component that unplugs follicles and peels off dead skin cells keeping the pores clear. It is also said to increase oil production which can be harmful for people who already have oily skin. Oily skin is prone to the development of bacteria that can cause inflammation and acne. This ingredient claims to rejuvenate and smoothen the skin removing wrinkles and fine lines. Retinoid has antioxidant properties that can prevent free-radical damage, thus, signs of aging. It is also promised to increase the production of collagen, preventing discoloration caused by harmful sunrays. This component is claimed to change your pores' size and shape, but in reality no medication can do it because your pore size is determined by your genetics.

Vitamin A stimulates and thickens the dermis where elastin, collagen, and blood vessels are located. It is said to reduce wrinkles and to improve blood flow. This leads to the deposition of collagen which is not always good for proper skin functioning. This ingredient is mentioned to repair the skin cells and to protect them from UV sunrays, pollution, smog, smoke, dust and free radicals. Vitamin A takes part in hydrating your skin.

Antioxidants are really important for our skin, first of all, due to their ability to protect it from free radical damage which can accelerate the aging process.

VLum manufacturer does not inform their customers of possible side effects or allergic reactions associated with the use of the program. They just claim that has no side-effects at all. As a specialist, I can say for sure that even a completely natural product may cause severe allergic reactions. A company which cares for the health of their clients should warn them of such accidents. Thus, the product can carry potential dangers, even though it claims to be clinically tested and to contain no artificial ingredients or fillers.

It sounded strange to me when I read that VLum can be used by people with all skin types. All of us are different and we have different types of skins - dry, oily, combined or allergic. Thus, special attention should be paid to the choice of skincare products. Before use any new cream or lotion, check your reaction to this product by applying a small amount of it on the inner side of your wrist. If you don't experience irritation, itching, burning or any other allergic reaction, you may apply it to your face. The Internet is filled with both positive and negative customers' testimonials. Let us have a look at some of them.

"Unfortunately, VLum did not work for me like it did for others. I have been using it every day during two months but I saw not a difference on my wrinkled face. I want to cry because I have spent so much money on this program hoping that it would help me to get younger."

"I was excited to try VLum after reading numerous positive reviews about it but I was very disappointed. This product didn't improve the look of my face. I wish I bought something cheaper and effective at the drug store. The product only provides the skin with moisture, nothing more."

"As I wasn't satisfied with product, I tried to return my bottle with VLum cream in two weeks. But they refused to return my money because the bottle was open already. Besides, I didn't like the texture of the cream. I do not recommend it to anyone."

The official website offers a free 14-day trial offer. You need to input your information into a special form and order the product. They say that you can cancel the program any time, but many customers say that it is not easy to do. In two weeks your credit card will be charged $98 for keeping the product. You will be charged each next month, until you manage to cancel the program. It isn't available on Walmart, Amazon and GNC.

VLum is not the best anti-aging skincare option nowadays as it has many drawbacks. Its ingredients haven't been properly studied and tested, thus they can be harmful and cause side effects and allergic reactions. The product is quite expensive, even though the company offers a free trial version during the first fourteen days. Very soon you will have to pay for it. There are many other skincare products on the market that are really able to reduce your wrinkles in a safe way. VLum is not suitable for the skin prone to allergies and facial diseases. The product is not available in retail stores. I cannot recommend this product.
